PYLOTUM

PYLOTUM is a research presence funded by the German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). The main goal of this research presence is to promote and enhance the cooperation between the Technische Universität München (TUM) and the Peking University School of Oncology (PUSO)/Peking University Cancer Hospital (PUCH) in 2017. Within PYLOTUM, we have established a Joint Key Laboratory for the study of cancers of the upper gastrointestinal, where we are conducting high-level research in the field.

PYLOTUM was initiated at the Institut für Medizinische Mikrobiologie, Immunologie und Hygiene (MIH) and PUSO/PUCH.

PYLOTUM is the fruit of a long-lasting collaboration between Prof. Markus Gerhard and Prof. Kai-feng Pan, and provides the unique environment for further technological and scientific exchange, as well as all necessary infrastructure for the conduction of joint research projects. Training of young scientists in the field of upper gastrointestinal cancer research is also a main objective of PYLOTUM.
