PYLOTUM is a research presence funded by the German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). The main goal of this research presence is to promote and enhance the cooperation between the Technische Universität München (TUM) and the Peking University School of Oncology (PUSO)/Peking University Cancer Hospital (PUCH). Within PYLOTUM, we have established a Joint Key Laboratory for the study of cancers of the upper gastrointestinal, where we are conducting high-level research in the field.
To evaluate the cost-benefit relation of H. pylori eradication for the prevention of gastric cancer and improve the personalized efficacy of the therapy in the future
To determine the molecular and histopathological features of the gastric mucosa with and without H. pylori therapy under endoscopic surveillance
To identify novel biomarkers for gastric cancer associated with H. pylori infection and to build a predictive model that allows patient stratification
